Sweetpea Slouch

Like most of my patterns, this design popped into my head late one night. Hectic note-taking and scribbled drawings met me the following morning and I was able to decipher my crochet code into this slouchy beanie.

This pattern is very dear to my heart and I am so thrilled to share it with you. More details about this pattern are on my blog.

I’d love to hear your story about this design – who are you making it for? What inspired your colour choice? Please share you stories via Instagram @emmeclairecrochet or in the comment section below!

Sharing handmade gifts is most definitely a projection of your heart ❀

      1. Dear Heidi,
What a beautiful pattern, love your colors and stitches. Could you email the pattern to me, I can’ t find the link? Also, how could I crochet this so it isn’t a slouchy pattern, not a fan of those patterns?
        Thanks so much.

      2. Thanks so much! You could adjust the number of repeats to make it fitted, or I do have fitted versions that use the same stitch on Ravelry πŸ’• I’ll send you a copy of this pattern πŸ’•

  1. Hello,

I love this beanie, but I am confused with the pattern: for 69 stitches of hdc, how can you make 33 stars when making a single star takes up 4 stitches not 2. I would appreciate help please.

    Thank you so much!

    1. Hello!
Thanks so much for your message! Each star only uses 2 new stitches the rest are from the previous star πŸ’– I hope this helps! πŸ’– So, you’re just counting the 2 new sts as the star πŸ’–

  2. Is there a video tutorial? I am having trouble with row 9 where it β€œcreates a shuttle bump” I can’t seem to get this right. Thanks

    1. Hi Heather!
There’s no video for this one at the moment, but I’m in the process of updating the pattern and making a video πŸ’– Can you please send me an email with photo of the part you’re up to and I’ll definitely be able to help you
